Activities to do on your Elopement Day

May 4, 2022

Hot Air Balloon

You and your partner will feel like you are the only ones in the world as you get in a hot air balloon and float above your city. This is a fun and romantic activity. Make sure you aren’t afraid of heights first!

Helicopter

One of my favorite elopements to film was in a helicopter. I loved that my couples splurged on what they wanted to do instead of a traditional wedding! This option is probably more affordable than you think!

Hike

If you’re the outdoorsy type, a hike is an excellent way to get out and see nature. It’s a great workout that’ll get your blood pumping and help you feel more energized throughout the day, but it’s also a relaxing way to spend time with your partner.

If you’re less experienced with hiking or don’t consider yourself an expert outdoorsman, that’s fine too! There are hikes of varying difficulty levels that are suitable for everyone.

Please note: Hiking in bad weather is not recommended unless you want your big day ruined by hypothermia.

Yoga

Yoga is a great exercise for increasing strength, flexibility, and balance. When added to your elopement day routine, it can help you feel calm and collected before the ceremony.

Sound Bowl

Want to feel relaxed before your wedding day? Try a sound bowl!

Sound bowls are an especially useful elopement tool because they help you get in the right mindset for your day of love and celebration. They can be used to meditate, for yoga, even for a massage. You’ll be surprised how much more relaxing it’ll feel with some soothing vibrations in the background.

Get Tattoos

There are also many resources available online to find the right artist. Once you’ve done your research and found an artist that is highly recommended, check out their portfolio to make sure that you like their style.

Maybe even having this experience filmed by your wedding videographer could be fun! 😉

Have a Picnic

A picnic after eloping is a great way to celebrate! And why not get fancy? Grab the wine, champagne, caviar, and oysters. You can even hire a vendor to set this up for you! Which I would suggest.

Since you won’t have to worry about being responsible hosts (or guests), take advantage of this time to really let loose and enjoy yourself!

Have a Campfire

There are a lot of ways to have a campfire, but our top two go-to’s are having a bonfire or making use of our elopement-day camping supplies. Before you get started, you’ll want to gather some ingredients and supplies to make it easier on yourself. This is another one you can hire for help!

These activities can make your elopement day special! As always, your wedding day is all about you and your partner. Having actives like this can make your wedding day even more memorable for the newlyweds.
