Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Jade Hall and I am a wedding videographer based in Utah. I have been in the wedding industry for many years and I am passionate about capturing the most special moments of couples’ big days. While I film weddings all over the world, my primary focus is in Utah, where I call the Wasatch Front my home. Utah truly has it all. (Besides normal liquor laws.)
I obtained my degree in Film and Media Arts from the University of Utah, which was the first step in deciding my career path. My degree helped me develop skills as a wedding videographer and push me in many ways. I have filmed hundreds of weddings over the years, each one unique and special in its own way. Being a wedding videographer has allowed me to connect with so many wonderful couples, vendors, photographers, and brought me on many wild adventures.
When I am not filming weddings, I love to spend my time outdoors. Hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring the mountains are some of my favorite activities. I also have two furry companions named River and Stella, who keep me company – they literally never leave me alone. I love dogs (cats are cool, too) and I love it when my couple’s choose to bring their furry friend’s along on their wedding day.
I have a few other passions in life, one of which is Mexican food (chips and salsa are life). I also really love to garden! I really enjoy spending time in my backyard, planting new flowers and tending to my garden. My partner Roman and I have over 50 plants in our home and we love to watch them grow (we won’t talk about the ones that die no matter what). When I’m not outside or tending to my garden, I enjoy watching the show “The Office.” It never fails to make me laugh and is the perfect way to unwind after a long day of editing. Springtime is my favorite season because when the snowy cold days finally break, I quite literally feel the seasonal-depression leave my soul. Also – flowers.
Reading is one of my favorite pastimes and I have a bit of a guilty pleasure for romance novels. I love getting lost in a good story and feeling the emotions of the characters. But I also enjoy books that challenge me intellectually and broaden my understanding of the world.
Travel is another passion of mine, and I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some incredible places around the world. Some of my favorite destinations include Norway, Iceland, Thailand, Ireland, Nepal, all over Europe, and even Fiji. Each place has its own unique beauty and culture that I find fascinating. I have been to over 25 different countries and plan to continue growing that number.
When I’m not travelling, I love to spend time with friends and hosting get-togethers at my place. I’m always on the lookout for new coffee shops to try out and love the ambiance and atmosphere of a cozy café. My favorite places include: Smith and Morehouse reservoir, the lawn at the Utah State capitol during the spring, Moraine Lake in Banff Canada, and laying on a blanket under my apricot tree in my backyard.
While I may be a mountain girl at heart, I will never say no to a beach day! Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities and I love exploring the underwater world and seeing all the vibrant marine life. I also enjoy visiting national parks and camping, as there’s nothing quite like disconnecting from technology and immersing oneself in nature.
As much as I enjoy all of these hobbies, there’s something about being a wedding videographer that truly makes my heart sing. I love capturing people on their best day and creating a visual documentation that they can cherish for years to come. One of my favorite parts of the job is incorporating vows and speeches into someone’s wedding film, as these are such personal and meaningful moments that truly showcase the couple’s love and commitment to each other. Being able to give someone a tangible memory of their special day is such a rewarding feeling and I’m honored to be able to do so. There’s nothing quite like being a part of such a joyous and celebratory occasion, and I’m grateful to be able to contribute to these precious moments.
As a wedding videographer, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to capture the most special moments of couples’ lives. It is a privilege to be a part of their big day and to create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better.
